Cordoda launches server 'hotel'.

CORDODA Corp Sdn Bhd officially launched its Infrastructure Outsourcing Centre last week.
Essentially a hotel for its clients' hosts and servers, the outsourcing centre, housed in the Patimas
Technology Centre in Technology Park Malaysia, maintains Cordoda's clients' computers and related
peripherals in an environmentallycontrolled, secure, waterproofed, fire-proofed and firesuppressed clean
rooms with filtered and stabilised battery and backup generator with built-in redundancy and 99.995% fault
tolerance levels which meet the Uptime Institute's Tier-4 grading, the highest for a datacentre.
"We also provide our clients with a wide choice of wired or wireless narrowband and broadband connections,
providing access to their server from almost anywhere as long as there's a suitable connection," said Daniel
Chang, Cordoda's director of sales and marketing.
More than 20 engineers at Cordoda's Network Operations Centre provide 24-hours, seven-days-a-week
monitoring and management of clients' equipment and systems, while maintaining communications with the
outside world.
"So far, we have about 12 clients who host or co-locate their computers with us," said Chang. "About 60%
are in the financial services sector, while the rest are in manufacturing and logistics," said Chang.
These companies use Cordoda's facilities to house their supply-chain management, customer relationship
management, disaster recovery, and other systems which they access and operate from client PCs and
terminals in their respective offices.Cordoda says it charges according to a combination of factors and client
requirements including floor space and guaranteed uptime.
