Cordoda Corporation Sdn Bhd (Cordoda Malaysia) sees good prospects for its Enterprise Broadband Network (EBN) outsourcing services locally, in particular in the electronic business (e-business) segment, where the demand for network bandwidth and scalability is high.
Its chief operating officer Shane Hodge said with more enterprises moving into the e-business environment, the company sees tremendous business opportunities in the marketplace.
Cordoda Malaysia, he added, is confident of achieving at least RM5O million this year and RM75 million the following year.
According to Hodge, the EBN services comprise facilities such as enhanced security, dual Internet access, desktop management, facility hosting and e-business applications.
“By combining the most advanced network management software and our own high-speed infrastructure, we are able to deliver connectivity, reliability and scalability to meet the needs of business of all sizes,” he said.
He added that Cordoda Malaysia has so far invested around RM45 million in the infrastructure set up.
Hodge was speaking at the launch of the new company by Energy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Amar Leo Moggie in Kuala Lumpur last week.
Also present were Cordoda Malaysia’s co-executive chairman Lee Tak Suan and Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd’s senior vice president Datuk V. Danabalan.
Hodge said the company currently has more than 30 customers in the stockbroking, insurance, manufacturing and retail markets.
On expansion plans, he said Cordoda Malaysia, which is an associate company of Patimas Computers Bhd, will expand regionally if the demand is there.
